Art Skills and therapy
Many people worry that they won't benefit from art therapy because they "aren't good at art". In our first session I remind you that this is not art class, I am not concerned with technique and quality of imagery. What I want you to experience with art therapy is a new way to express yourself and gain insight. Art is a form of creative expression that can benefit everyone.
Directions and Parking
My practice is located within the Yeager Office Suites West at 2680 East Main St, STE 307, Plainfield, IN 46168. My office is located on the third floor with a window looking out towards some beautiful mature trees. When you arrive, please wait in your vehicle or the main lobby until I am ready for you to come up. The office building values privacy and respect; we don't want people waiting in the hallways.
Cancellation and No-Show
Sessions are scheduled for a 45-53 minute clinical hour unless scheduled otherwise. A scheduled appointment is a reserved time only for you. If an appointment is missed or cancelled with less than 24-hour notice, the client will be responsible for a $90.00 fee. A twenty-four (24) hour notice is required when cancelling and/or rescheduling appointments. Repeated cancellations or failed appointments will result in termination from services. Exceptions to this policy are only at the discretion of the therapist involved with the client.
Payment Options
I accept payment in forms of cash or check. I am also paneled with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. If you wish to submit your sessions for out of network reimbursement, please note that this requires the mental health professional to give you a DSM-V diagnosis that will be added to your insurance file. Paying out of pocket has various advantages, including increased confidentiality and privacy about your treatment.
Rates
Art therapy and general counseling sessions are $150.00 for 60 minutes. Depending on needs and household income, accommodations can be made. There is no guarantee for how many sessions you will need before you notice a large improvement in life satisfaction or reduction in symptoms.
Art Instruction sessions are $75 for 50 minutes. Please inquire if you would like a longer session for art instruction. Supplies will be provided by client (list will be given depending on choice of material). Again, limited openings are available per month, so inquire quickly.
