I have had so many people come into my office and say, “Well, there’s no handbook for how to be a parent.” And actually, I used to agree with them. Until I began my own parenting journey.
One of my very best friends reached out to me years ago and said something along the lines of: “Hey, I think you’ll really like this because of who you are and what you do in therapy.” She pointed me in the direction of Dr. Laura Markham and her book Peaceful Parent, Happy Kids. Fast forward two kids later and I have now completed the first level of Dr. Laura’s Peaceful Parent Educator and Coach training.
Working with all of my current and past clients has led me to realize that parenting plays such an enormous role in our development. In the way we trust or don’t trust others. How we view ourselves. What we do with emotions. Parenting influences it all.
Now, I am on a mission to help create a better world. And the best way that we can make that happen is by raising our children wholeheartedly.
Your call to action: if you are struggling with parenting, if you are a new parent, if you are grand-parenting, or if you are in any way shaping the lives of children… I have tools to help you do this. I will work with you and your children to help foster growth and change in your home. To establish healthy, respectful boundaries, teach empathy and communication, and strengthen familial bonds.
