You might be a parent really wishing that there was a handbook on how to do this best. Or maybe you’re a teenage girl really struggling with sustaining healthy friendships. Possibly, you are graduating from college and feeling utterly lost. No matter where you fall in that spectrum, or outside of it. I believe that you can create growth in your life. I am here to walk with you on that path. I won’t lead you; you will make those choices yourself. But I will be a guide.
Art Therapy
Counseling services with me will look a little different than a traditional talk therapy approach. With my training in Art Therapy, we can begin to explore in a different way. A way that you might not have tried before. Art is a language that speaks for itself; a language that gives meaning to something that you cannot find words for.
I utilize art making in the majority of my sessions, but not all of them. I will meet you where you’re at. If you are self-conscious about making art in front of someone, we can work through that. Most of us haven’t touched a paintbrush since we were in 4th grade. It might feel a little like learning how to ride a bike again, scary at first, but fun and exciting as you feel more confident.
